Gabriel Key is a South Florida country and country-rock artist whose path into country music is anything but conventional. Born in Hialeah and raised primarily in Homestead, Cutler Ridge, and Kendall, Gabriel grew up with Cuban roots, a love of the outdoors, and musical influences that ranged from hip-hop and rock to the modern country he later discovered through South Florida’s line-dancing community.

Before music became his career, Gabriel spent 15 years as a firefighter/paramedic and built Push Hard CPR, an education business focused on CPR, BLS, First Aid, AED, and emergency preparedness. During COVID, after losing his mother and dealing with the pressure of first-responder life, music became an outlet and eventually a path he decided to pursue seriously.

In 2023, Gabriel connected with producer Brian Bonds and began recording professionally in Nashville. His current catalog includes “Gone,” “Told You So,” “My Life Is Country,” and “Sandbar,” with “Told You So” capturing the gritty, prove-them-wrong side of the brand and “Sandbar” representing the fun, coastal South Florida side.

In 2025, Gabriel received the Dream Chaser and Favorite Local Male Artist Awards at the South Florida Country Music Awards, recognizing both his journey in pursuing music and the support he has built within his local country music community.

Gabriel has officially opened for Drake Milligan, Kelsey Hart, and Russell Dickerson. He has also performed VIP/pre-show sets around concerts featuring Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, the Doobie Brothers, Brantley Gilbert, and ZZ Top, and has headlined full-band shows at South Florida venues including Round Up Nightclub and the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Bandshell.

Live, Gabriel Key is built around crowd connection. He incorporates a line-dance lesson into the show, regularly leaves the stage to interact with the audience, and brings a country-rock energy designed to make people feel like they are part of the night rather than simply watching it.

With new music in the works, Gabriel is continuing to write, record, and find new ways to make his live shows even better. He’s proud of how far he’s come and excited to share what’s next with the people who have supported him along the way. As he works to bring his music to more audiences beyond South Florida, his approach remains the same: keep working hard, keep getting better, and stay true to who he is.
